How the work is made
Everything in the shop today is a studio print. Here is exactly what that means, and how it differs from the hand-painted originals that are coming.
Studio prints
Every piece starts with research and a plan: the theme, the palette, the size it will hang at. I sketch the layout by hand or on screen, and where a sketch fits, it guides the generative tools I use to develop the image. Then the real work happens on screen, with digital tools: I add and remove elements, paint over details, and rework colour, texture and composition until the piece holds together. I check it against my sketches and the room it's meant for. If I have even the slightest doubt, it doesn't go in the shop. — Prachi
What you receive: a canvas print of that finished original digital composition. It is printed to order on poly-cotton canvas with fade-resistant inks, stretched to a 1.25" gallery depth with the image wrapped around the edges, and sent ready to hang. The brushstroke and texture effects you see are part of the image; the canvas weave is real. Limited editions are counted, not signed.
Hand-painted originals (coming)
Prachi also paints by hand, in mixed media. Her hand-painted originals will be offered here when they are ready.
